Our Favorite Delegation Strategies
Overview
A roundtable with the OpsKings team on how we actually delegate work internally, which turns out to be the same framework we install at client engagements. We walk through the delegation levels (L1 through L5), why “live” work is dramatically harder to delegate than asynchronous work, and the rule we use to decide what only the founder should touch.
The conversation gets into the failure modes: when VAs end up as glorified inbox managers, when systems rot because nobody owns them, and the specific reason most agencies plateau at the exact same revenue band. We also cover the tooling stack we use to make handoffs boring, because the second a handoff becomes interesting, something’s broken.
This is probably the most practical episode we’ve recorded on how to get operational leverage without hiring more people.
“We hate when someone has to come to us just to unblock a decision. If the system is good, the call stops mattering.”
